I Want to Live Alone

I don't mind my sister living with me. I have no problem with that at the moment. She's not too intrusive.
I've really enjoyed living alone, though. I could save more money if I didn't, if I split the rent with others, but I never found people I could be safe with. I thought I had a couple times, but people are different when you live with them. I've had some who'd come into my room in the middle of the night. What for? I don't know. I'm a light sleeper. I woke up and caught them trying to get in.
I've also had a very nasty experience where a roommate decided to take advantage of the fact that I was drunk. I was in my own room. Can't a person be safe in their own room? Not a guarantee if you live with other people. (I should probably add that I wasn't raped. Other stuff... Things can get that bad, but it hadn't that night and I'm grateful for that at least)
There were others who broke into my room and stole or messed with my stuff while I was out. These were all people others considered good people. You wouldn't know unless you lived with them just what sorts of things they do. It's funny how things change when the doors are closed.

Sharing living space is awful.
Did it in the same house for ten years!
Stuff goes missing; people have no respect for privacy; they bring 'friends' back at stupid hours of the day; for some desperate reason feel the need to be loud after they've had a drink. Rarely do their bit to keep the place clean and tidy.
But going into your 'sanctuary'. Especially knowing you're IN there???
Gives me the shivers reading it !!!

True. I never want her to be in a situation where people she lives with do things to seriously hurt her.
