I Am Lonely

I realized how lonely I was over summer, I thought going back to university would help. I tried going to a society/university club but I feel out of place because most of the students my age seem to be in fourth year whilst I am only in second year (I didn't go to university straight away). My only friend in university is considering leaving the course and she lives so far away that if she goes, I will not really have anyone to talk to. I have a few other friends, but I only get to see them a few times a year if I am lucky.

I just want a close friend who I don't drift apart from :( I sometimes see my friends in their relationships and they get comfort from that but I don't even have that.
