I Am a True and Loyal Friend

I don’t know what to do. My best friend of 50 years was put in hospice care yesterday. She was the smart one. I’m the funny one who can’t find anything funny. My heart is broken and she’s not here to talk me thru it. No one left to fix me.

I'm so sorry. What happens next is you be there for her, as much as you can. Secondly, you make sure she knows how much her friendship over the years has meant to you. Thirdly, but not in front of her, you allow yourself to grieve, to cry, be afraid, whatever emotions you feel. I'm so very sorry.
