@DymondHed Of course, I will answer if I can.
DymondHed · 31-35, M
@silentwriter180 what do you look like?
silentwriter180 · 51-55, F
@DymondHed Like a teddy bear (or at least that's what my husband says)
DymondHed · 31-35, M
@silentwriter180 in what way? :o
silentwriter180 · 51-55, F
@DymondHed And why would that matter?
DymondHed · 31-35, M
@silentwriter180 just curious

@DymondHed Lets just say that I'm short & average. I have very short hair at the moment, as I just had surgery and I'm blind without glasses.
DymondHed · 31-35, M
@silentwriter180 nice :) did the surgery go well? what was it for?
silentwriter180 · 51-55, F
@DymondHed I have a minor form of epilepsy. A chip was implanted to help control the seizures. Surgery went well, yes, thank you. Still a bit tender where the staples were, but slowly healing.
DymondHed · 31-35, M
@silentwriter180 when was the surgery? have you noticed any reduction in frequency or severity of seizures?
silentwriter180 · 51-55, F
@DymondHed Surgery was in February, and yes, I have noticed difference in both. I am still on one milli-amp as far voltage is concerned, and will have turned up to two at the end of July.

Basically, there are two wires attached to the chip, directed in different area in the brain. When those wires sense a seizure starting, they will send a message to the chip, the chip will then send back a message to stop the seizure. It will then record the activity. I have a system that sends that information into a computer, and then off it goes to the Stanford Neurological Center. They can keep an eye on me there. If you'd like to know more information about the chip, look up RNS for epilepsy.
