Did You Know: That in 1918, both Chicago and New York City decided to leave schools open during the second wave of the Spanish Flu? [I Study History]

The Spanish flu of 1918 killed the very young, and those adults who were perfectly healthy. It was indiscriminate. Entire families were wiped out. During the second wave of the Spanish flu, these decisions were disastrous.

Isn't it interesting that New York just continues to screw up? No one seems to learn from the past...find out quickly the nature of the disease...and then DON'T force the most vulnerable into crowded conditions.

In America, we now have 560,000 dead of Covid19, (if we can trust anything anyone says about that or anything else), and during the Spanish flu epidemic over 600,000 people died.

@questionWeaver What's sad is that we no longer study history, and I am quite sure it is racist to do so...don't bother to correct me if I am wrong, because then you would be a racist...(JK!).
