I Christian Domestic Discipline

Believe it or not, these actually benefit some people. I'm in one, and I can guarantee you, my husband loves me and I'm not a slave

Some people are into S&M and B&D, and between consenting adults, this is fine. My concern with the "Christian discipline" described in the post is that the woman may not have the freedom to object or the ability to leave. If that's the case, then it's abusive regardless of the religious excuse.

Also, forcing children to witness this behavior is abusive even if they are not physically punished themselves. I would say the same thing about parents who practice S&M; they should do it behind closed doors and not share this with their children. I would call CPS if I found out about anyone doing this, either for fun or as part of some religious ritual. I don't give any respect to people who engage in depraved behavior just because they say it's for religious reasons.

RV: our families function extremely similar.

Nudity wasn't a problem in my father or husbands house either. Our family accepted each other's bodies, and we bared it all when we were spanked. Honestly, I think the nudity helped deter me, especially as I grew older.

Respect, obedience, and discipline were(and still are) also emphasized highly, along with modesty and being humble.

And your mom is like me, we receive "reminders". My mom was punished too, but it wasnt as often as I am.

Sounds more like a slave relationship to me than CDD.. The prayers do not change the actions...
