I am not telling you what you should or should not do but in my book we should never ever do something just because someone else wants us to, or we are pressured to to it.. don't do it to please or pander to some whim or stereotype ONLY do it if you want to, if it makes YOU happy, if you enjoy it.. Ultimately doing something to please or placate someone else is a recipe for disaster as ultimately unless YOU are happy and you are at one with yourself, you can never truly make anyone else happy xx If your husband loves you, if anyone loves you they will not care whether you wear jeans, skirt or whatever x

@Greenbare well that would be a pleasing story to some for sure.. but I am afraid, as with so many of these things, it's factually untrue.

@Greenbare oh I don't ignore history, I just ignore potshot oversimplified versions of it :P You must be logical, lol I hate people who aren't :P Your's is just one version, you maybe read it somewhere, but it doesn't make it fact, as there are many different theories and beliefs as to why.. here's one for instance, 'it's a cultural phenomenon not based on the actual capabilities of girls or boys. ' that one suggested it was more to do with horseriding and battle.. but you overlook the many exceptions, Japanese clothing, Scots men wearing kilts and so on and so on and so on.. It's the oversimplification that gets me.. and anyway.. if you were a woman you would know that it's really not practical to try to wee in a dress, especially the long and elaborate one of the past... trying to squat in a dress is a sure way of getting piss on it.. lol I can deduct you aren't a girlie or you would know this.

@GuitarMan Yes I have been wearing skirts to work and am liking that. Housework in a short skirt even worse, very sore knees, skirts don't offer the protection of trousers

@Adaydreambeliever I can imagine the pain in your knees doing housework!!! No padding on the floor when scrubbing the bath tub!!! If I'm going to have sore knees, there are other things I would rather do to make them sore than housework!!!😜😂

@sighmeupforthat how about them?? I am interested in your thought processes here.. specifically why do you seem to make the assumption that luxury is involved? You would be incorrect.. I am wondering... have you considered those who really DON'T have a choice? Like women in countries where there is a strict dress code, even in very hot weather... there are reports that that is very uncomfortable.. must be impractical too I'd think..

@purplepen maybe, but I'd think there's still the problem of when you have to get down on your knees to clean something...and when I am gardening... i got very sore knees :P
