I Love The Ocean And The Beaches

The sea is a good place to mend a heart ache, or make hours pass like minutes.
I feel like I'm with family when I'm on the ocean or the shore. It's a powerful feeling of closeness, an affinity, like I am home. Sometimes I feel like I could just walk into the waves and go under and take a deep breath, and I would be home forever.

@Greenbare The best beaches in Florida, but the weather gets pretty cold in the winter.

@Greenbare Generally highs in the eighties during October......
Don't you ever wonder what sort of world exists below the waves? Mermen and mermaids and cities under the water. Perhaps that is your home in truth...

@PoetryNEmotion I feel like the sea is my mother, and I guess there's a good reason for that. Human blood has a lot in common with ocean water, and some say we came from there.

I hear you! It's my playground!

@Dusty101 I can walk the beach and pick up 'gifts' from the ocean for hours and hours and completely forget the time.....and everything else for that matter.

@Oberon1 it's truly lovely to do that! It's very therapeutic ☺

@Dusty101 Indeed it is.
I can totally relate. I grew up in a coastal city and always feel reenergized at the seaside.

@bijouxbroussard I love the smell too! Even man's contribution of creosote that you smell mixed with sea at the marina. I prefer just the smell of the ocean, but the smell of a port is nice too.
