I Have Alopecia Universalis

Is it common for insurance to deny paying for treatment. We're going tgrough this right now with ours
To my knowledge AU has no standard treatment. Therefore most insurance companies will not pay for "off label" drugs such as Tofacitinib which is marketed as Xeljanz and Jakvinus ~$2,000/month.

Wigs, permanent makeup for eyebrows, and fake lashes are about the only options unless you live very close to a border and can cross to get Rx meds (assuming you can afford them).
