I Love Muddy Socks
Some muddy fun down by the creek.
I recently discovered this creek near where I live, and I couldn't help but notice some lovely looking mud. That evening, I set off to take full advantage of it. I was wearing converse high top sneakers, a pair of dark green knee high socks, skinny jeans, and a t-shirt. I made my way towards the widest part of the mud, and heart pounding with pure exhilaration, I took my first step in the mud. I took pleasure as I sank up to my ankle and felt the cool mud slowly seep in to my shoe. Still breathless with sheer excitement, I stepped in with my other foot. I took another step forward, and the mud got deeper, rising all the way up to my calf. The mud got deeper as I moved further in, until finally I found myself over my knees in mud. One of my shoes had gotten sucked off and the feeling of the smooth mud against my socked foot was heavenly. I wiggled my toes, letting the mud squish around. I sat down in the mud and slowly raised my leg out of the mud to take off the other shoe. I paused a moment, taking pleasure in a cool breeze against my socked foot before sinking it back into the even cooler mud. I sat there for a while, but the sun was almost down and I would have to get back. Alas, I couldn't seem to find my other shoe! Eventually, I gave up and walked home covered in mud. It has been quite a while since I did something muddy and so this was a lovely experience, that I plan on doing again.
