Iceland's president wants to ban pineapple on pizza. Pineapple on pizza would be a forbidden fruit, if the president of Iceland had his way. President Gudni Johannesson hates the hotly debated topping so much, he wants to ban it, according to a report Tuesday.

President Gudni Jóhannesson clarified his controversial comments late Tuesday in a Facebook post titled “A statement on the pizza-controversy,” in which he insisted he had nothing against the juicy tropical fruit.
“I like pineapples, just not on pizza. I do not have the power to make laws that forbid people to put pineapples on pizza. I am glad that I do not hold such power,” Jóhannesson wrote in a post that was translated in English.
