except size is there actually any difference between eclairs & profiteroles?

Yes, other than just the shape:
Profiteroles are generally filled with ice cream (though sometimes filled with whipped cream or custard).
Eclairs are generally filled with custard cream or Bavarian cream (though sometimes with pudding or whipped cream).

@AllelujahHaptism I’ve never had an ice cream filled eclair (and I’ve eaten a LOT of eclairs), and almost every profiterole I’ve had (with one exception) was filled with ice cream.

I guess yeah that’s the main difference ~ though classically profiteroles can be filled with ice-cream as well ~ if I’m not mistaken @AllelujahHaptism

@AllelujahHaptism Profiteroles have melted chocolate over them but eclairs tend to have fondant chocolate on top. It's just a bit thicker. I like coffee eclairs as well.
