After the Corona quarantines are over, will people still want to dine at buffet restaurants?

My mother used to love buffets. The Old Country Kitchen was her favorite, because that was her idea of a huge treat...but the food is usually pretty bad.

There was ONE buffet, just west of Lansing, Michigan that I used to enjoy. It was an Asian buffet, all you can eat, and they had crab legs and maki rolls and general tso's chicken...and all the stuff I love.

If you mean...touch serving spoons that everyone else has touched...well...I would probably wear a plastic glove...😉

@cherokeepatti yes ,you get pork , chicken , turkey , beef boiled bacon , and loads of different veg, and potatoes, we also have the Chinese and Indian buffet restaurants

I still do with food places that deliver while all this is going on. Eating in restaurants when they open again I will wait a few weeks until there is no news of coronavirus about anymore before I go to eat inside them.

@4meAndyou Yeah, I don’t eat out of any of the packaging or the spoons, in fact I even use alcohol wipes to disinfect the packaging if I need to then throw it in the bin and then wash my hands thoroughly. Maybe I’m just paranoid.

@Gingerbreadspice No, you aren't paranoid...you are intelligent! They say to wear plastic gloves, put the food on your own plates, discard the packaging for everything, preferably outside if you can, and then discard the gloves and wash your hands. THEN test the temperature of the food. It has to be 150F to be sure the virus is dead.

I never was much of a fan of buffets nor cafeteria lines....but I do miss human contact....shaking hands or a hug upon greeting old friends, laughing and patting each other on the back. Sitting across from or next to each other and laughing and sharing tales of our kids, our work, our lives, while enjoying a meal.

Sigh!!!!!!
