Is anyone else pretty sure that culinary arts are bs?

Sushi is eaten cold and often drowned in soy sauce and wasabi, common among Asians like the mustard masking of the Chinese
Then you have the French style putting various leaves on things that really don't change the flavor
culinary arts ARE real,, but most people are not subtle in their tastes, and sauce or salt or sugar everything to death.
those leaves DO work, if you have the tongue for it, and sometime
looking nice, makes the experience better.
@Jackaloftheazuresand all i can do is suggest you broaden your experiences.
in addition, taste buds can be dulled, by strong sugars, alcohol , tobacco use, and a lack of variety, can keep you from tasting the unfamiliar, especially if it not a Loud taste, some people cant taste truffle, ( the fungus, not the candy)
and some taste thing differently, to different people.
like cilantro, or ginger,

@SatyrService I've eaten many things from many countries, my palate is very diverse in that
@Jackaloftheazuresand or is it that you feel Culinary Arts,
with visual presentation?

most places Culinary Arts, is a synonym for Professional Cooking, not just visual appeal
[c=#359E00]this is why my cooking never look good. I concentrate on the flavor[/c]
No? And sushi isn’t meant to be drown in soy sauce and wasabi. You only see that from fat people at cheap buffets. And French style doesn’t even use that many leaves. It’s more butter and cream based. It’s cool if culinary arts aren’t your thing and you like to eat pasta out of a prego jar with powdered parmesan , but don’t hate on other people that enjoy cooking.
@Jackaloftheazuresand those leaves..
You mean oregano?
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@SatyrService there are several. Bay leaves, oregano, parsley etc.
@Jackaloftheazuresand I asked about that one in particular. I cant imagine Italian cuisine without oregano.
