How do you make a grilled cheese?

I use mayonnaise instead of butter.

I put the butter in the pan and save a step of buttering the bread. I like Cheese, Tomato and Ham with some mayo on it! Sourdough makes amazing grilled cheese!

I butter the bread, sourdough or rye is the best. Then, I put it, butter side down in a cast iron skillet - my secret ingredient. I add shredded Colby Jack cheese and cook til golden brown. Perfect!

I butter the outside of the bread and lay it in a very hot skillet that was coated with more butter. Don't turn it until the first side is crisp.

Ya gotta butter both sides of the bread.

Thin layer of mayo on the bread, instead of butter, and I use Colby Jack cheese😊
