Can I make a chicken stew using 'Pea and Ham soup' as a base?

I don't know if you can. There is a recipe I have tried by using 'Celery soup.' You coat the chicken pieces/drumsticks in flour and then brown in a pan. Then place in a casserole dish and pour the 'Celery Soup' over the top and bake for 40 minutes. I was wondering if it would work with 'Pea and Ham.'
It will work. Chicken can be a 'blank slate' that other flavors write on, but don't conflict with.

Why not. IF you like pea soup with ham, and you don't mind your chicken stew tasting a little hammy, food is food. Add a little of this, and a little of that, and you've created a new taste sensation.
@Serenitree Exactly. Let's see, what else have I got in here?

Yeah that'll be fine. Basically any canned soup will work fine provided the flavours mesh. And chicken and pea and ham have no complaints.
they're flavours that go well together so why not?

Not recommended, but it won't kill you.
