Is it really worth the 3 hours it takes to make your favorite 'Pea and Ham soup'?

Your priorities are all fucked up.

In most of the recipes I have seen for 'Pea and Ham' that would work. Seeing how you put all the ingredients in, bring to boil and simmer for 2 hours. But the way my Nanna liked to do it is add a whole heap of veg's after that and cook for a further 30 minutes. @LvChris
