Do you like barbecued oysters?

First time ever making oysters at all and I think they turned out wonderfully. Shucking was a huge pain for the first few but after the fourth or so I had it down and the rest only took 15-20 seconds or so each. Some of those in my household aren't huge fans of the idea of raw oysters, so I did smoked oysters instead. Still turned nice and tender and juicy. Sacrilege to some, I know.

Pacific oysters(local), so very mild and smooth flavor. Cooked with a dollop of garlic butter in each along with the natural brine, put over applewood fire for about 8 minutes or so so the oyster and brine got a nice note of sweet smoky flavor though some had the brine spilled during the transfer from barbecue to platter. :/ Although none dried out, so there's that. Everyone loved them, they vanished in no time.

Never seen them cooked, since people also here only eat them raw, and I'm not a fan of raw seafood. Lol. But they look good. 馃憣

@Elessar I've never had them raw, honestly. I kinda want to try them but since no one here was up for it I didn't feel like bothering with all the prep specifically for it. Have had them in the form of pancakes, fried and just steamed with horseradish and lemon before.

I'd describe them as like a much more delicate clam, more subtle sweet flavor and very delicate texture. Mushroom-like texture when cooked. Paired very nicely with the garlic butter, not unlike lobster.
Yum, never had them bbq'd but bet they're delicious

@starmitzy It was quite good, certainly were no complaints from anyone despite two of four people here not being big seafood fans. Which I consider high praise indeed.
@UndeadPrivateer hmm I must try doing them like that!!!

Those look really good (though raw oysters are the best).
