Do you eat food that’s past its expiration date if it still smells and looks fine?

A lot of things like dried spices, herbs etc would be absolutely fine, I believe they just lose some of their flavour, so many not be quite as tasty, but would be fine otherwise.

There is expiration date on certain things that seem absolutely fine to consume past it.

Only if it's something like a box meal. Like dry noodles and seasoning
