I Have Trust Issues

I learned today that I still fear love. I fear abandonment, rejection. I fear being used and lied to. I haven't forgiven myself for making mistakes and not trusting my intuition. I always kind of knew this but never really accepted it. Not sure if accepting it will make it change. I really don't know how to get over it.

From this day forward, always trust your intuition. It's innate and your soul's way of steering you right. Only when people ignore or go against their gut, their intuitive sense do they regret it later. Be open to energy and vibes--trust them too, even if you can't explain or make sense of how or why, they will keep you away from the toxic and drawn to the warm.

Thank you... I do trust my vibes but don't always go with them. How dumb is that...

@Fallflower: Welcome. Having trust issues, I know it can mean doubts about sometimes trusting yourself, but you can do it. Baby steps.

I came to this same realization myself this year, admitted and accepted it. Something about doing that brought me some peace but it’s still hard at times. When it starts to overwhelm me i have to tell myself that she’s done nothing to warrant it and that we think alike. I may have thoughts that she would find threatening but she knows I’m hers. I just turn that around on my self, and knowing that I’m hers helps so much.
If that makes sense!

I've had a few horrible relationships, but I never gave up hope and am happy at last. When we try our best to stay positive, then good things come our way❣ Best of luck flower. 🌸
Just try and relax and use your head, heart and instinct. Try letting your guard down too.

For some reason that seems a monumental task. I'm becoming as neurotic as my mother... ugh!
@Fallflower: sorry :(

@AfterDark: no worries, apparently I just joined a club 👍

Um, I kind of thought all those things were normal...

@Gemineye yeah, kinda. Way to burst the bubble on my epiphany man. 😋

Should I bring brownies?
They are always welcome.

I've found that cheating is a pretty definite sign that things are not going to work out with that person. I'm no stranger to denial but even I couldn't take that kind of situation. Sucks.
Welcome to the club.

I'd say go to a counselor, but.. frankly that's hit or miss. Read a book. You can tell quickly before you even buy (or leave the library) whether it has a chance at helping you.

@SW-User a well written book always helps. Thanks.

I'm proud of you for realising this, and facing it.

Not sure if you remember me. I knew you on EP and wrote you a song.
Fallflower · 46-50, F
Was the song called.... fallflower? 🌻 I have not forgotten you. 😊

It was indeed :)
