I'd love to explore this stately beauty. She's one of the last ocean liner greyhounds and is now slowly rusting away, tied to a dock in Philadelphia. In it's heyday, she broke the world speed record for a ship of her size: 45mph. The ship still holds the record for the fastest ocean liner to ever sail across the Atlantic. There's something sad about the demise of such a great lady.

Perhaps if you made a donation to the SS United States Conservancy someone in the group might give you a tour.

I looked around and they did do a tour some years back to donators. I wonder why they don’t offer tours to the public as a way of garnering funds to restore the ship. Kinda seems like a no-brainer. @Freeranger
