I Love Being In the Woods

I met a rather unruffled roe deer today. She let me come very close to her and even lifted her head and stared directly at me. ๐Ÿค” I was wending my way through a narrow forest path when suddenly I saw a monochromatic mass ahead of me. Disgruntled, I though about how I would have to brush past some dog owner since it looked like a big dog standing in the middle of the path. What a relief, it was just a deer... ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Deers are beautiful animals and they say so much in the silence of their captivated glare.

I saw 3 of them darting through the woods in December 2011.

Awesome moment โ™ฅ๏ธโœจ

@SW-User They are so graceful. โค๏ธ I was surprised it didn't run away before I approached it. They always did so far.

I love taking walks in the woods and have seen many deer and know most don't let you get very close but every once in a while it happens. Sounds like you had a wonderful walk.

I have deer come into my backyard ever autumn during hunting season. They are so beautiful to look at.

Monochromatic mass? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ How except you would use that expression? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿค—

@Mugin16 ๐Ÿคญ I didn't know how to describe that. But I still find it accurate. ๐Ÿ˜…

So after meeting squirrels you have moved on to meet roe deers? Did the roe deer say anything to you like the squirell? ;-)

@Mugin16 Luckily, it was quiet. If I am not mistaken they can make quite frightening sounds as well. ๐Ÿ˜… (I learned that while looking at shooting stars with a friend on the clearing one summer night.)
But well, I heard some animal screeching some time before deeper in the woods. Most probably a bird. Now I want to know which.
