I Want To Be Special To Someone

I blame this desire on my obsession with YA fiction when I was younger (still kinda read it cause its my guilty pleasure). The way the main character gets described as a typical girl who just reads and doesn't really interact much yet the cool guy still notices her and they have this all consuming love and adventure where she is the center of his world appealed to me way too much and thats kinda how I envisioned love would happen. Turns out, you actually have to act interested and put some type of energy in the world in order to get that. I just want someone to notice me and actually go after me yknow. I blame my reading for making me believe I could just do nothing and the world will give me what I want. Trying to be a go getter now but it's hard to break that habit.
