Even as a 2000s kid

You wouldn't think so as I'm Gen Z however I remember when we just had a land-line phone and the TV. Me and my cousins would spend all day outside catching insects or just running around the lawn
Good days. I wonder if kids nowadays (with all the access to tech) get the same experiences.

I had the internet but I still played outside a lot. The internet was mainly for homework or stardoll. If I was on the computer and one of my parents shouted do to want to play Outside ? I would run down stairs and go outside to play. We had swings , a slide , a trampoline , a basket ball net , paddling pool, a shed full of our door toys , and a play shed on our garden it was massive. At the weekends I collected leafs for my scrapbook and had picnics in the woods. I used to walk my teachers dogs in the park , i used to go bike riding with my mum she used to try to teach me. On Sunday’s I went to riding competitions , I went to the garden centre , I used to go to the fair down the street on the grass field , I did play on the streets I got grounded a lot though , I used to ride the horse to the park I was 10 when I first ridden wear the roads were , through the riding school there was a path around the back were I went then I followed it to were there was a poisonous plant tunnel like something from Alice in wonderland then I went past an abandoned warehouse building and then I had to cross two roads a lot of cars didn’t wait , if I seen a dog loose I trotted past it , a lot of dogs tried to chase me. Then I got to the park. I really miss it. Everything Was good back then.

@SW-User nice childhood 🤗
Well fun fact, modern computers have been around since the 1930s, TV since 1940s, film since 1887, cell phones since the 1970s, the internet since 1991, radio since the 1890s, toys since 2,600 B.C., video games since 1958, sports 15,000+ years ago, board games since 3,500 B.C., card games since the 9th century, plays since the 5th century. Growing up I would play with my toys in the backyard but I mostly stayed inside & enjoyed various entertainment like a 4:3 TV, VHS tapes, Radio in the car, draw, write, SNES, Gameboy Color & PS1. I don't really go out much due to the sun & harrassment.

@DarkCrazyArtistGeekGamer Sounds like you had a fun time! My parents couldn't afford all the fancy stuff so nature was my entertainment 😂

Don’t let people pigeon hole your personality and life experiences based on your age. It sounds like you had a fun time

@ArcticDave Thanks for your saying that😃 I find that some older people (even ones like only 5 years older than me) don't find post 90's people experiences valid.

@RaemaSnr it’s a new form of stupidity where people group people together so they can dismiss what they have to say. Don’t allow it, just enjoy yourself.

No not really,people have replaced life with tech. I admire the parents that let their kids use the tech as an aid in life rather than it become it.

@Peppa Hmm true
