I Remember Life Before the Internet

Well not exactly before, but in the early 2000s the internet was still quite small. There was no Facebook or YouTube and we weren't really a well-off family so we didn't get internet access until I was in secondary school (about 10/11). I grew up on a council estate so not many people had internet anyway. The family in the houseopposite were quite lucky as they had it, which meant I was often over their house using it to do research if i had any particularly tricky homework assignments. My school had internet but we weren't allowed on games very often, and even they were censored so we had a selection of educational games to choose from.
In a way, life before internet was easier, as now they'd trying to make everything online, like banking no applying for jobs, but it's made it so much easier to communicate with ,y foreign relatives, to keep in touch with friends and to do work. So there's two sides to every coin.

I remember life before mobile phones, let alone dial-up internet. The pluses of modern communication far outweigh the minuses I think.

I agree, it has its advantages and shortfalls. I definitely hate the loss of the face to face interview for a job.
