I Remember Life Before the Internet

I remember, and I'm trying hard to hang on to it!

I get out on bike rides and leave my phone at home. That's one way to have a life without the internet. Get outdoors and enjoy it, sans devices.

@wstcstrob Exactly right! Unfortunately, for so many people, leaving the phone home is like leaving a limb home...it's a drug

Lately I have been seriously considering letting the internet go altogether to get some of that sanity (before the internet) back! The novelty and thrill are gone. These social sites ain't what they once were. Pervs and kids and fetishists and angry people. Not fun and we are becoming more and more anti-social in real life...detached from each other. Seems dangerous for our future

@Fernie It's true. I couldn't do without the internet altogether, it still has it's compensations, but people on social sites who seem to be morphing into the inexplicable simply because they have the power to behind a screen, isn't the healthiest thing to have in your life. Are they even like it offline I wonder? I don't know how long I will stay on SW myself, I have found a few descent friends on here, but others I come across - 🙄 I think in the end, even blocking will became pointless.
