Sometimes I get a bit down through the holidays in remembering the only child shuffle that I would do between my divorced parents. When they both lived closer and I was handed off between them for a week and having to meet the new " This is X and she/he is my friend "

Now that my Dad lives on the west coat and my mom is a comfortable distance away I and just be friends for the holidays and enjoy their company and get invited into their families which helps alot
