I Am a Mother

On my way to see my mom in the nursing home. Although I love her, I am also dreading the never ending emotional abuse

My Mother was a monster. Physically violent and an emotional vampire. I ran from her at 19 and stayed away for decades. On her death bed she blamed me for every misery of her life. I don't know how you do it. Was she always this way or is it Dementia?

@prsunshine2929 Many people think the word 'Mother' is magical. That because someone is our mother we must allow them to be abusive to us. I never saw it that way. I saved myself and have no guilt. You don't "have" to take it...you couldn't possibly owe her that much
