I Believe That The Earth May Actually Be Flat

Obviously I don't but I'm pretty fascinated by them. When you hear flat-earthers speak and make videos or presentations or whatever they come off as disgustingly condescending idiots who do more to validate the Dunning-Kruger effect than any other group I can think of. But when you hear some of them speak candidly it's actually kind of depressing. They so fantastically wrong they can only exist in an echo-chamber with complete isolation from any kind of original or independant thought which isolates them from everyone else, including their friends and family.

I've heard some of them speak about the incredibly moving experience it was to go to some flat earth "conference" and meet others like them because they're numbers are so small and they're all so alone. It's almost a religious experience and not in the indoctrinating way but in the uplifting way. Like it means so much to them just to find anyone that they can talk to without being ridiculed. It's kinda sad man, honestly.

If it takes away from their Trump derangement syndrome, then let them pretend the earth is flat
