I Can Feel Your Energy

The U.S. is going to have to ration our energy usage. In the second half of the 20th century we started squandering fossil fuels like a drunken sailor. That era has come to an end. Oil demand is exceeding supply and human caused climate change is now on us. No more driving an SUV half a mile. In fact, no more SUVs. "Alternative energy" sources will become mainstream energy. We will have to invest massively in public transit, especially passenger rail.

Many changes will be required. These changes will be good in many ways, we will walk and bicycle more, we will be healthier. Many new jobs will be created as we move away from the fossil fuel era.

I do my part and only drive when I really need to for areas where public transit is poor or I need to carry a lot.
