I Need to Stop Stressing On Things I Cant Control

People will tell you in your life that you have full control over your life. CORRECTOMUNDO!
But heres a thought.... Can you control what the people around you do? From my experience, theres no way you can. I wish there was, then maybe id be happier. i would have saved the life of my best friend, i would have stopped my brother from ruining his life, I would be living a very different life...

Im a planner in life. OH AND A LIST MAKER LOVEEE LISTS (ok im getting off topic) But, i like to plan every detail of my life, it helps me to make goals and attempt to reach them. From an unhealthy perspective, when life does its job and doesnt go my way, it really screws with my head. This perfect (yet realistic), ideal life ive made in my head is what hurts me most in life.

I often try to outsmart life and expect some negative things that may happen to me in life and self prepare. However... Life is much more powerful than i thought, and life enjoys f**king me over much more than i anticipated. Never would i have guessed life to bring these people to me, i never thought id see what i saw, i never thought id feel what ive felt. (let me know if youd like a storytime with details)

But, after many hours of tears and stress, life has proven to me that...things work out. and if they dont, then something postive (small or large) always comes out of it :)

You don't have as much control as you think you have over yourself. Things tend to work out over time though. Everything that happens to you is an experience. You can choose to learn from it or not.

You're right in that you can't control what others do .. But you can control how you view this events and maybe the extent to how they affect you .. add Shakespeare said, nothing is either good or bad, thinking only makes it so

You would find much peace in the study and practice of Buddhism.
