Is Australia really still there? [I Cry At Movies]
For many years I have been unable to picture the people in Australia (where I've never been) walking around alive and well. Especially in Melbourne.
And deep down in my mind I fear that if I ever went there, I would never be able to go back home because America would disappear while I was there.
Or, to put it another way, some 14 year old kids are really too young, or at least too immature, to watch the movie On The Beach. After I saw it, for years I couldn't hear Waltzing Matilda without crying. It still makes me feel weepy and concerned about Australia when I hear it. Are you guys in Australia OK now? Please tell me you are.
