I see not many people post here [I Love Military History]

Good morning, military historians.
I have an interest but only patchy knowledge, which I am filling in piece by small piece. My interest is in Scottish and British military, up to and including the First World War.

@pagandad Thank you, Pagandad. I do have some interest in the naval side as well. My husband is a nautical sort of man.

Great learning subjects. I love reading up on WW1 - WW2 history .... did you know that Tolkien’s lotr trilogy is based on his actual experiences in WW1 ( the battle of the Somme) 🥀

@SW-User Thank you! I've never been to Leeds. I used to be a regular in the Fort George museums when I was younger.
