It's important because it has implications for folk trying to earn a living as bloggers or indeed being allowed to express a counter-view which the owners of said site (Google) disagree with. Google are threatening to pull channels if they continue to lose what sponsorship they have.

Fewer people than ever read newspapers these days.
Fewer people than ever watch tv news these days.
Everybody is divided between either a Microsoft or an Apple phone system/computer system.
These people get to decide what you're told !!!
