I experience sleep paralysis dreams pretty much every time I go to sleep. It makes me feel completely drained of energy when I can finally force myself awake 馃槾 and they鈥檝e been getting more and more disturbing 馃槹
I used to have that constantly in my twenties and thirties. I had a minor episode last week, but you are right, it is very disturbing when it happens. You can hallucinate while you are temporarily paralyzed, but none of it is real...it's just your mind trying to find a way out.
You will outgrow it. It is extremely rare to find people who still have it past the age of 40.
@4meAndyou that鈥檚 good to know. I think it鈥檚 lack of proper sleep that is making me have them so frequently. Luckily I鈥檓 learning to force myself awake more easily
I used to get them all the time.... Accompanied sometimes with hallucinations and a profound sense of impending dread.....Eventually they didnt seem that scary but just some weird endurance contest
If you can, try and remember not to fight against them (because you cant).... Just try and relax and let them pass over you
