I'd Rather Feel Pain Than Nothing At All
The Storm
Who wants to wholeheartedly embrace a guarantee of life - altering pain and unexpected trials, a promise that if you haven't already been in a storm, or if you aren't standing in one right now, then there is certainly one on the horizon.
A promise of wreckage in some shape or form, that could stand to disrupt everything.
And think that no matter how hard we hope we can move through this life unscathed, we're bound for trouble somewhere along the way.
Rather then wrapping my head around the truth that hardship inevitable, I convinced myself that if I did right things, saying the right words then maybe I could play it safe.
Because of my skewed perception of reality when promised hardship comes my way it will come close to ending me!
Desperately clung to my ability to cope with and mask to hold together all of the broken pieces, as if my own hands could fix my mangled Heart !
Suffering, adversity and discomfort other derail us and drag us into a downward spiral of depression, blame and pity!
We wander through our days drowning in social media, social pressure and spiritual timidity.
Our culture of fake it till you make it we keep our struggles to ourselves and only put our best foot forward for the world to reward.
As the result we become broken lonely people which feel isolated at times in our struggles and ashamed of our shattered pieces!
So we live in this culture that craves comfort we blame others for our wreckage we doubt goodness and sovereignty often at times we turn our backs on those who wish to comfort us.
In a broken world our adversity and suffering will not cease but our perspective can boldly shift!
Once we make a decisions to seek the truth with our minds or with our Hearts!
