We wear our brokenness
Like a suit of scars
A paper-thin armour
Protecting a fragile heart

But maybe all we really need
Is someone who loves us
Not in spite of our scars
But because of them

Our scars are part of us....love me...love my scars.

That was beautiful btw. <3

Really you can only love and accept the person as is,warts, scars and all

Our scars are what mold us into who we are; the resilience.💛
I wear my past
Like a crumbling edifice
From ancient Greece or Persia
Where angles and surfaces get blurred and
And where things change and split and merge
A movement growing and slowering…
Irregularly now…than not…

With a nervous modesty and
An uncertainty
But also an innocence, at all that
Looking back from ahead
Following the blindest urge
To an acceptable immortality.

Everything makes us what we are .. great poem
I love that!🤗
That's really good. In turn, we have to accept theirs as well. Everyone has baggage.

While each of our stories don't require a scar, each of our scars tells a story ... and all of those stories provide insight into who we are.
Maybe...that person is out there
