here's one of my favourite poems that I have written

Dreams

Dreams are our hopes for the future.
They can help us or they can break us.

Dreams show us the light, when we
are shrouded in darkness.
They can help lead us to
happiness and help us
shape bright memories.
Dreams keep us going, even if
the odds are against us.

Nightmares drag us into the dark
they show us our deepest fears and
reveal our darkest secrets.
Nightmares wake us up screaming
and shivering alone in the night.
Nightmares can break us and drag us
into the great depths of oblivion.

My dream is to have nothing but friends,
while my nightmare is to
lose everything I have gained.
