I Keep a Gratitude Journal

Went to visit a friend with 2 other friends after my piano lesson today. Saw her 11-month old daughter for the 1st time, a cute baby.

We talked about my brother and many of their friends moving abroad for better living environment and work life balance. They go to cities which are less advanced and less populated thus allowing immigrants. My brother and her wife are moving somewhere -40*C in the winter. My frds said, it s better staying here than moving there. We went on discussing buying a flat and my friend recommended the estate she and her family are living in now. They have rented and lived in the flat for half a year and found the place quite nice, and are looking for a flat there to buy. I said I would take a look at this estate, and my frd was excited and said it would be good if we could be neighbors. I started to think, I should buy in and trust this place, with my life and time; trust that I can sustain and live here just like other people here; do what everybody does, follow rules and systems and I will be fine though not excellent.

And I was happy to know that my friend was excited if I could be living close to her.

I went to practise golf and had dinner with my best frd afterwards. My best frd said that buddhism and christianity taught people to cherish what they have already had; to want more is a bonus, and before attaining more, one should not be unhappy because of not getting there yet.

Then I thought about what I wanted more. I thought that after finishing the piano exam this year, I would learn to drive, and then take another course, may be a long distance /part time degree /diploma. I want to learn and know more.

It s a nice day today.
