I Keep a Gratitude Journal

Today I was late for work due to traffic jam. My senior told me not to he late before. He doesn't accept traffic jam as a reason. He said I should know the traffic conditions after working here for months, or take the railway (which requires 4 times transit and half an hour longer than taking bus.

I talked to my colleague in the same group. She said she once was late too but she didn't explain to our senior, because it would just give a chance for him to say something unpleasant. She said, she, and we were not perfect and our senior should accept that. She could have gone to work earlier to reserve time for occassional traffic jam, but she said, she didn't think that was necessary.

My colleague has very good and strong mindset, I appreciate that very much.

The traffic there always looks heavy, no matter what time of the day it is. I hate that our cities are like that. I much prefer living in a place without much traffic. It gets tiring jostling among crowds to get to work. If cities are symbols of progress, then I'd rather not be progressive. 'Progress' does not make sense to me.
yea usually people understand if your late because of a traffic jam
