I Have Seen a Ghost

I was in my early to mid teens. In central Minnesota. Home alone. Care to guess what I saw?

Well, that is my only ghost story. Maybe some others will post experiences in here, and you can use your deductive powers on them. If you listened to Steve Gorman Sports on Fox Sports radio, Steve and his cousin, Jeffrey, each shared a ghost story on today's program. You can probably find the show on the Internet. It was at the end of the second hour.

By my calculation, this would have been in the late 1960's/ early 1970's. I suspect Viking clothing was trending at the time as the next fashion wave was just reaching the Twin Cities. It could have been a loved one or friend who was getting dressed in the dark, unsure if it was the right fashion choice to actually wear. You surprised them when you entered unexpectedly and in return you became surprised. Your mind acted in the best way it knew how in defense and convinced your brain you had seen a ghost. Even to this day with your life's credentials achieved, you still wonder if maybe - just maybe - it really was a ghost. One person from your life back then knows the truth though...
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
No, no, no. I take full responsibility. I should have done a better job of examining the facts and interpreting the data. In fact, with additional fact-finding, my suspicion of a resurgence in Viking clothing turned out to be false. There was no such trend in the 1960's or 1970's (or beyond). I have failed miserably and for that I am sorry. I can only promise to reach better conclusions in the future... if given the chance.

Your future... disguised as a mental image. It was a passing glimpse, but there was enough detail to confirm it was not just your active imagination. That image has stayed with you as you attempt to find a match as you browse through time.
ProfessorPlum · 70-79, M
Just like you see in the cartoons, It does SEEM like your hair is standing straight up! And, there is an eerie, LOUD organ note, played once.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
Oh... okay I will re-open the case. Perhaps I jumped to the wrong conclusion on faulty evidence. My apologies Professor.
ProfessorPlum · 70-79, M
It was a Viking, complete with the old style helmet, long hair, and an ax over his shoulder.
ProfessorPlum · 70-79, M
Mark Paul, it was a actual Viking helmet, as seen in TV shows like "The Vikings."
ProfessorPlum · 70-79, M
Colonel Mustard? no, Miss Scarlett in the library.
ProfessorPlum · 70-79, M
Yes, it was a ghost, Fierflyys. What KIND of ghost?
ProfessorPlum · 70-79, M
If it WAS my future, Mark Paul, I have a scary one.
Jonathan · 31-35, M
If it wasn't Swayze, was it a shadow-like figure?
Jonathan · 31-35, M
Did you need a fresh pair of undies after that?
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
Ok now I'm curious, spill the beans!
ProfessorPlum · 70-79, M
Lol to Patrick Swayze. Very clever.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
Col. Mustard in the pool room?
ProfessorPlum · 70-79, M
I may have been unclear.
Jonathan · 31-35, M
Patrick Swayze?
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
