Whats wrong with the App Store ?

I got an iPod 6 it works great but within the last year the App Store really sucks. We just got brand new internet Hugs Net it still won't connect to the App Store it did the same thing with viassat. With the old iPods like the iPod 4 I never had this problem I don't know what's up with these new iPods. I'm not getting an iPhone I just got a new Samsung our family doesn't really do Apple I just wanted one for music but I'm trying to download messenger because my phone is charging right now. I tried shutting down my iPod resetting it disconnecting the internet putting it either on HugsG2 or G5 it still doesn't do anything. It's been working until now. What's wrong with it ? Is it shut down or something ? How can I fix this ?
