I Macromastia Gigantomastia

I was diagnosed at age 11 and things really took off by age 13. I struggle to cope at times, but I will not allow this disorder to ruin my life.

I am so very proud of you for all you do for yourself and for others like myself that have to deal with this problem!
TYEBOE · 70-79, M
Kim. I read about you in Ronnies blog, you've also overcome a lot.
KimBras · 36-40, F
@TYEBOE: thank you so much! I have done all I can to overcome the obstacles placed before me. If not for family and friends I would have stopped long ago!
TYEBOE · 70-79, M
I also remember you are very attractive and have a really nice smile. Thanks for your reply.

Macromastia is a hormonal disorder than results in extremely large breasts. Sometimes this is accompanied by spontaneous and uncontrollable lactation.
veeceekay1991 · 31-35, F
Sometimes the breasts grow back after a reduction. Also, a reduction can result in loss of breast sensitivity and an inability to nurse.

I tried hormone treatments for a couple of years and it slowed the growth, but I'm also bipolar and the hormone treatments interfered with my medicine.

@Danny9124: I joined Experience Project in late summer of 2014 looking for support for VBH or any of it's variations on google the link came up when on there to see if EP was worthy for aid because my sister struggled with self acceptance with her Macromastia so I poked around and ran across one of her stories and hearted it, I don't remember if I commented. we started talking pretty much everyday. I told her about my sister and she wanted me and her to join her closed support group Order of the Custom Bra or OCB.
For awhile I did talk to her on EP but after a while I got tired of the circus appearance and left I mean, the reason why I went on there in the first place was done. I then talked to Ronnie via Yahoo messenger but with the management job I had the only days I could chat was on Sundays which she took the weekends off from social media. She's never been good at sending email, often claiming she doesn't have anything to say which puzzles me because post wise she was very active on EP and her blog she had and even on here. Yes, I am sorry our friendship came to a end, I blame her and she probably blames me.
I am gaining my life back to pre EP, and as soon as it's possible to delete my account on here when it becomes an option instead of writing SW I will become like a whisper on the wind.

@ChristineWD: Wow, thanks for telling me your story, Christine. Pity, I would have liked to know you better. Well, I have an e-Mail if you would be still interested and I have definetly more time than Ronnie! And well, until the deleting is possible, I would like to chat with you via PM if that´s ok for you!
Same story as me. Though I got a reduction and don't seem to be as severe a case. Still. The struggle is real.

I've known two woman with macromastia. One hated her breasts, had several reductions and then a double mastectomy. I don't think going through all that made her any happier. The second was absolutely enormous and she loved her breasts. She was very happy and would not have traded them in for anything. For the life of me, I don't know why one woman was so miserable and the other so happy.

I hope you find peace.

Sometimes hormone therapy works and sometimes it doesn't. A woman's hormonal balance is very individualized and the incorrect level of hormones can just make things worse in terms of overall health.

I call bullshit.

Notes, I've known two women with this issue. One was a very good friend of mine. It really happens.
Serenitree · F
Missingnotes. You really should read about it. It's kinda scary interesting. There's nothing there about eating meat from animal treated with growth hormones, but, I really think that might be at least one possible cause.

Keep up the positive attitude, and it won't. (smiles warmly)

I know your personality well enough. You are strong and will adjust as your life continues. Keep your chin up, my friend. :)

I wear a 38 band and measure 74 inches around the bustline. I wear custom bras.
Danny9124 · 31-35, M
Hmmm, how often did/do you need to buy new bras, Ronnie?
