I Do Not Support the Spread of Christianity

I see the christians are launching another attack on secular life. :(

Why can't they understand that ordinary people are getting sick of their interference? If they want believe in fairy stories about a magical man-in-the-sky they're free to do so. They need to accept the fact that not everyone shares their delusions.
I honestly will never understand why the human race can't just accept and respect that we all have different beliefs and that's OK. What works for you maybe doesn't work for me or the guy down the street but that's fine! Religion is a very personal decision we all make. In a perfect world we would all do our own thing without judgment or prejudice.

@robingoodfellow I'm a Christian, but I feel zero compulsion to force my beliefs on anyone. I'm OK, genuinely OK with anyone's belief. It does not affect mine in the least.

@robingoodfellow I couldn't agree more! 👍

I disagree with religious people labeling others as “evil” for simply being different.

The tragic thing about all religions is that they are all Trojan Horses, either those at the top seeking power and influence and all the good things that follow; whilst convincing/deluding millions who follow in the belief that their leaders are good people.

Perhaps if they all dressed like Ghandi they would be more convincing

Quite. In point of fact, the separation betwixt church and state in the Constitution is designed to prevent theocracy from taking root. Even back then and farther, wise men knew organized religion was dangerous.

Churches always recruit new members. Many are through the malarkey and leave.

Education is a good thing.
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@Crazywaterspring They prey on easy targets like the weak and vulnerable. The uneducated can be easily deceived by them too. :(

@suzie1960 Using religion to easily deceive the uneducated is the main tool by which Fascism has now gained supreme power in the US... as Sinclair Lewis warned.

Matthew 22:21 Jesus said "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's; and to God the things that are God's." Romans 13:1 "Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God and those which exist are established by God."
I interpret this to mean that all established Churches should be taxed, just like corporations. And while we are at it, lets test all their products and services for performance against claims and truth in advertising.

@whowasthatmaskedman The christian church is a business, a very rich one that acquired its wealth by exploiting the poor and needy. :(

It's a parasite, taking the benefits paid for from our taxes and giving nothing back. They'd squeal like stuck pigs if they actually had to pay their way.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
I agree.. But its not just the Christian franchises. Jewish and Islam also have their hands in the taxpaying pocket and don't get me started on Scientology.@suzie1960

@whowasthatmaskedman In the UK, the christians seem to be the main offenders although the others you mention aren't slow to take what they can.

You are so right for so many reasons.

@Greenbare I think that could be dependent on which area of the country you're in. In my area christians are far worse, the Muslims don't cause any problems at all.

@Greenbare Maybe but it's really no different from what christians did and there are enough of them to still be a problem.
