I'm hideous under my mask I guess

Today at work not one but THREE people saw me without my mask (our workplace mandate was lifted), and they all were making such a big deal over my face I was extremely embarrassed. 😓

They just kept saying "You look completely different under the mask! If I saw you on the street I'd never recognize you!" and "Oh wow! Do you work here?" (Jokingly). I feel like keeping the mask on forever. 😭

I've seen your face and know you don't look hideous. Far from it, in fact.

Your co-workers just aren't used to seeing you without a mask. I'm sure they don't think you look unattractive.

I don't think that they were saying you looked hideous, just that it's been a long time since anyone has seen you without it which goes for everyone. I've noticed the same thing where it might take me a moment to recognize someone without one on. But never do I think they look ugly.
