I Am a Father

Dad to three.
All grown up with youngsters of their own.
They're all independent and all working.
Rare to see them these days. Takes a bit of planning!
Nice to feel as though I've done something right in this life.
I often wonder!

BarryKlob: Toddlers.!! Nightmare!! Lol
Into EVERYTHING!!
Scariest day of my life was having just got back from the hospital with son#1.
Mrs & I sat on the edge of the bed watching this little bundle fast asleep in his crib. Knowing that WE were responsible for looking after and protecting him!!
But then they grow! Thrive! Learn!
And it just amazes you how fast it happens.
Enjoy them. Even when they drive you nuts! They don't mean to. They're just learning how to deal with life.

Ah, you give me hope that I can get there some day with my own. Still got toddlers myself. You as a dad = win.

Pickle, babies and kids are amazing. I know I love my nieces, and consider my friends children to be my nieces and nephews too. I think of how amazing life is, (especially pre-birth) and it really makes me glad to be here, and able to watch babies and children learn and grow.

How old are your grand kids? My parents have three children, and two grandchildren (I'm the one who hasn't reproduced). The oldest just turned four, the baby is 15 months, almost 16 months.

Peanutsauntie: I have three grandchildren.
2. 1. And six months.
They all live fairly near each other and their parents all get on.
So there's a good chance they'll have their early lives at least, getting to know each other really well.
It's unfortunate I'm 200 miles away taking care of my mother. Otherwise I'd be nearer watching them grow.
