I Am Not Perfect
For whatever it's worth, I believe we're born imperfect, and perfection, whatever that may be, is unattainable by us mere humans.
Perfection is an illusion. I learned to allow myself room to make mistakes and permission to be happy regardless of outcome. Imperfections don’t make something ugly. I always find beauty in things that are odd and imperfect - they are much more interesting. We are all wonderful, beautiful wrecks. That's what connects us--that we're all broken, all beautifully imperfect. I really believe that it is honesty about our imperfect selves that makes everyone do better and be better.
