Can't believe it's been over a year since quarantine caused an addiction to a gun toting red neck with a mullet whom liked to play with tigers. 🤷‍♀️

Tiger King was a character all right. He was also a publicity whore who made frequent appearances around the state including here in my city. My sister posted a photo of her and a couple of guys talking to him at one appearance and said she had a hard time winding up the conversation to get away from him.

The boy taking ZOOM classes and wearing boxer shorts while doing it. I kept telling him to put on some pants because there were girls in his class and he said they couldn’t see him below the waist. Then all those OOPS stories of people getting caught 😂

@Trippin yeah that boy has always liked to be comfortable when he is home and nobody visiting. I caught him a couple times going outside with his boxer shorts on to feed the feral cat. Tried telling him there are girls in the neighborhood and not to do that

The Red cross sending my friends blood plaza to Philadelphia, 25 miles away, losing it ... as she lay dying in a ventilator.

Then a midnight call to the head of the Red Cross to find the plazma ... only to have the hospital then lose it and try to give it to the wrong person.

She did get it

She recovered as I prescribed

And the doctor got credit

All the while she clung to life ... at the highest ventilator setting

She was the first person to receive plasma therapy and recover

Her recovery was headline news from Boston to Miami

I don't miss anything about that honestly, it's been rather awful here. I remember very well the first bike ride I had after two months (+14 days of quarantine before) of hard lockdown. And not the "lockdowns" we've seen in 2021.

@Trippin I'd say being one of the first countries to be hit, seeing video-recordings on the international press in our hospitals on the brink of collapse, hundreds of caskets stacked in churches, hospital halls and literally any other place that could fit them would indeed qualify as awful 😕 meanwhile while that was happening other countries were calling that "a seasonal flu". Or even some a*holes saying that we were faking it to get EU money...

driving to the lake east of the city about 8 times just to get out of the house and do something where we wouldn’t have close contact with people. Sitting in chairs at the edge of the bank and feeling the cool breeze when it was too warm to be enjoyable in town, and to watch the wildlife, people fishing, children playing in the shallow part of the lake and boats going back and forth. Those were some nice evenings.

I had to work lol. I remember watching it go from yay to nay in a flash. Then things got better until this year when a co-worker was tested positive and started bleeding.

In a flash, everything closed down again and we still had to work.
