I for one don't see any problem with someone being proud of any of the traits or nationalities they have/are, regardless of their nature. Sure, they may just be luck of the draw, but I am proud to be a natural redhead, for example. I don't see why people are criticizing this young man. It's not as if he said his eye color, nationality or skin tone are superior to those of others (because they aren't.) We should all have the equal opportunity to embrace and celebrate what makes us unique.

Most people are proud or achievements or accomplishments... Not the result of a genetic crapshoot they had nothing to do with.

I don't know what to tell you. You just don't belong in this era. How can you think having a particular skin color makes a person proud? You need to re-evaluate yourself right now. Preferably, at this age, 'cause once you hit 30s it will be difficult. You need counseling to settle your inferiority complex once and for all.
