What remedies have you tried (that worked) that made your eyelashes grown in thicker and longer at a medium-fast rate?

When I was a child (meaning elementary school to middle school) I turned to picking my eyelashes as a way of dealing with stress. As you might guess, I deeply regret it now as my eyelashes are becoming thinner and thinner. I don't pick anymore but I do wear mascara which is part of the cause for my present eyelash loss. But if I don't wear it, everyone will see how bare my eyes are and I don't want that happening. Help!
